Greg James

Coach Greg James was inducted into the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame on June 3, 2023. A graduate of Vidalia High School, he taught and coached at his alma mater for 31 years, 30 years as head baseball coach. His baseball record was 489-287, winning the 1995 and 2003 state championships. His teams won 9 region championships, played in the final four tournament 4 different years, and played in the elite eight 9 times. He was selected the Georgia Dugout Club Coach of the Year in 1995 and 2003, GACA Region Coach of the Year 9 times, inducted into the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame in 2008, and inducted into the Inaugural Class of the Vidalia High School Hall of Fame in 2022. In 2007 the baseball field at Vidalia High School was named Greg James Field. It is an honor to induct Coach James into the Hall of Fame.
