David Jones

Coach David Jones was inducted into the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame on June 1, 2024. He coached boys’ basketball for 40 years, 36 years in Georgia. He coached at Southwest High School in Atlanta, Cedar Shoals High School, Southside High School, Atlanta High School, Bradwell Institute, First Presbyterian Academy, and Greenforest Mccalep Christian Academy. His coaching record was 751-318, winning six state championships, one all-classification championship, and fourteen region championships. He was selected region coach of the year fourteen times, GACA Coach of the Year four times, state coach of the year twice, and all-classification coach of the year once. It is an honor to have Coach David Jones in the GACA Hall of Fame.
